GIFTEDNESS/IQ TESTING
Giftedness or IQ testing helps understand a student’s intellectual strengths and how they think and solve problems. It can identify students who may benefit from advanced learning opportunities or enrichment programs.
Why Giftedness/IQ Testing?

To see if a child qualifies for gifted or enrichment programs at school

The student is highly curious, advanced in some areas, or not feeling challenged in class

To understand the child’s unique thinking style and how to best support their potential

To help with school placement decisions or long-term academic planning
What Is Involved?
Testing Time:

The process usually takes 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the purpose of the testing.

Can include any/all of the following:

A conversation to understand the individual's background, development, and learning style

Standardized testing to measure overall intellectual ability (IQ)

Problem-solving skills, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, memory, and processing speed

Optional academic testing if needed to get a more complete picture of the individual's abilities

Feedback session:

This is when we will meet and we will go over the report, the recommendations, and address any questions.
